MMA GLoves and MMA Gear You Need

March 25, 2010

When you are looking for the different typles of MMA gloves, the options are not too wide and the feature aren’t too good either.

Padding can either be for sparring, bag work of competition

The sparring gloves have more padding than all other gloves. They generally have finger loops that keep your fingers free so you can grab while you are on the ground. You need to extra padding for obvious reasons- no, not to protect your hands. To protect your sparring partner…

Bag gloves are great for prtecting your hands as they skip accross the rough surface of the bag- It’s really a friction burn. Training gloves typically possess a considerably longer wrist wrap that helps support the wrist during bag work. The padding is not as great because the striking surface is padded. You don’t need it.

When it come to competition gloves, there are standards. The paddin alone have to weight 4-5 ounces. The knuckles are protected and so too are the backs of the hands. Some Fight Leagues, like UFC have theur own gloves that meet their ring standards and that’s all you can use.

Appearance

The way a gloves looks is most likely one of the most significant parts of the buying experience. As a retailer, I have found the coolness aspect means a whole lot. The graphic designs vary from camo to blood- both extremely popular. But still, black glove with a high quality logo graphic stamped on it sell excellent.

Leather or Vinyl

I personally like the leather gloves. You cannot compare the feel of genuine leather to the low-priced vinyl gloves. Vinyl gloves I’ve found the the edges irritate the shin of t fingers as well as cracks with use. They just can’t compare to tough hide. Keep this stuff in mind in your next mma gloves purchase. What is the purpose of the glove? Sparring, training or competition. How crucial is the physical appearance? And finally, devote a few extra dollars. The cow hide will be much better on your hands as well as last a great deal longer.

Facts to consider

Before you run out and purchase a set of MMA Gloves, there are some facts to consider. What exactly are you going to be using them for, just how much are you willing to shell out and just how much will manufacturer mean to you

I recommend to my clients that training gloves don’t need to be more costly. Why invest a fortune on gloves which will be used-up and sweaty?

Many fighters tend to be into the vanity thing- well at least until the first time they get smacked in the nose and their eye balls well-up with tears. Get beyond the looks and find a great glove!
